Dear friend,
Are you nervous a.k.a. not feeling confident about driving manual?
Do you keep stalling at the traffic lights?
If someone asked you to do a parallel park... could you do it?
What about your P’s test, are you afraid of failing?
If you're a beginner, are you prepared to sit behind the wheel of your car?
Everyone's thinking it's a matter of when, rather than if, a crash happens.
Somebody might even joke about you casually colliding into somebody else.
Theoretically it could happen.
You would have almost no control over what happens when in a panicky state of mind.
Just one near-miss for the day would increase everyone's fear factor by twofold.
It feels difficult to remain calm.
Did you already visit an isolated car park because you anticipated it would be much easier, quieter and safer than if you were to go out onto the hustling street race to begin your first practice session?
I bet after about 20 minutes of shifting between 1st and 2nd gear you realised that you do require real world practice.
And then you stall... and stall... and stall...
You notice the other cars are getting annoyed.
And then you stall again...
"Manual is just too hard, too exhausting. I'll just learn Automatic, it's easier" you convince yourself.
But don't give up just yet soldier, ask yourself:
Is there a way to improve your driving ability without putting yourself, others and your daily car... at risk?
